Fil-Tech, Inc.™, Boston, Massachusetts, was established in 1969 by G. Paul Becker and Diana M. Becker as a manufacturer’s representative firm. Shortly thereafter, Fil-Tech began distributing aftermarket consumables to the semiconductor industry with the sale of ionization and thermocouple gauge tubes. In the late 1970’s during a severe and extended shortage of DC704, Fil-Tech added the import and sale of FT704, a generic equivalent to DC704. From this point on, Fil-Tech began concentrating on marketing and distributing its own products rather than representing other companies.

     Shortly thereafter, Fil-Tech added the manufacture and sale of replacement parts for electron beam and ion sources guns and the sale of hydrocarbon fluids for mechanical pumps. Fil-Tech was now concentrating on consumables in the thin film deposition industries as well as the semiconductor industry.
